Unfortunate but I think a mess at Irish border is, in the short term, a good thing, as it will further increase momentum for a united Ireland.

Not sure I agree with that personally. A mess on the Irish Sea 'border' between NI and the UK, that will probably end up with a united Ireland looking like a better alternative. Given that it will lead to smoother movement between ROI and NI than NI and the UK mainland.

I can’t see a reason not to reunite Ireland. I know there’s a lot of negativity surround the whole process. But surely it makes common sense to make Ireland whole again.
