I've still not got round to ordering them. Good to know they fit though!

Ah, the good old '10Nm to loosen or tighten, left or right, doesn't really matter' icon. Love it.

Who has the strongest opinion on what makes the best gravel wheelset? I'm talking one day rides, no luggage. Going fast, but not racing, strong enough for the occasional rock garden... No need to be expensive just for the sake of it.
My current line of thought is DT 240EXP / 350 straightpull, Aerocomp spokes and a 30mm ish carbon rim with 23-24mm internal width.

if you are planning 40mm tyres, 23 internal sounds mega wide

DT Swiss 240, J-bend Sapim CX-Ray, alu rim 23-25mm
But define 'best'.

I'd just ride alloy if running over boulders with a tiny 40c tire is in the menu.

23mm sound perfect.
I ran 24.5mm width with 47mm tyres, it’s pretty nice with tubeless.

but is it the same with 38/40mm tyres ?
-
• #14164
Where did you get the 40mm tyre thing from? I see only rim width and depth mentioned.

• #14165
i said "IF" to play dumb and get things started

I have 23mm and 40 ish tires. It's fine. They actually designed the tires (WTB) around that size I think

23 internal sounds mega wide
Really? I have a 32c tyre on my 22.5 internal (DT Swiss). They say it's fine, and it is.

Is this the new gear ratio chat?

23 internal sounds mega wide
I didn't realise they still made rims that narrow
-
• #14171
23 hookless internal with 38’s and no issues yet. Apparently fine on 28’s
-
• #14172
I run 28mm tyres on a 25mm internal rim, it's awesome.

Close the thread. Be the compassionate man I know you are.
erm? Any reason you're sending to that to me?
