Is it a trick of the camera or is the part of the frame with the ERA labelled box slightly angled? Might be something to do with it if so...

It is angled, it has a significant bevel on all our windows, which is the only bit you can put the small box on to get it close enough to get the magnets to interact, really bad picture attached which is roughly how the cross section of our windows work, and an example of the mounts I would need. Another option is getting some standalone magnets and seeing if I could mount them in the frame somehow.
The answer is of course to change our windows to something much better, but seeing as they are less than 3 years old.

Interesting, my biggest issue is how to mount the sensors on the windows, the current ones I have just aren’t quite consistently performing which means they randomly go off!
