  • How much for the 250SWB

  • Have another, incredible looking!

I may as well ask while you've got your tape out - what's the BB to saddle clamp measurement? Presumably it could be shortened a touch?

  • Don't suppose you know the RAL code for that blue?

  • I don't know if this is RAL but should lead to what you're after, I think it looks great with the white hydraulic hose and mango Chris King headset:

  • This bike is on the Talbot Frameworks FB page, if you want to see more pics.

  • Lovely bike. Glad I’m a little bit shorter.

  • dibs maybe..?!

  • Whats the tubeset (I know its mixture)? And would it be possible to lower seatpost?

  • Have dropped you a PM

  • Would be interested in the geometry esp headtube

  • I’m guessing a spirit front end, Reynolds rear .. T45 Seat-stays

Looks like 56cm eff TT and 14cm headtube? 73 degree seatpost and 72 degree headtube?

    Let’s See how close I get :-P

  • I would say that’s a pretty good guess.

  • One thing to note, I changed the bars from the ones in the picture - they're Ritchey now (were 3T in the photo), which shortened it up a little and brought the hand position up:

  • Head tube is 15cm.

  • Middle of the bars to very nose of the saddle (which is a carbon SMP clone) is 58cm, current stem is a 130mm IIRC, might be 120 but I think it's longer, my tape measure thinks its 125mm which I don't believe so I'm clearly measuring it wrong.

  • dibs on behalf of friend (not sure what dibs order I'm in).
    pm coming

  • That Talbot is LUVVERLY!

I have something very similar from Tom Sturdy: gnarmac, wide tyre clearances, disc, 1/ setup (although I had mine made with FD cable stops for future possibilities), very compact geometry, tight front end geo, short chain stays, low BB, etc.

It's one of THE most fun bikes I've ever ridden and will handle anything.

  • Out of all my bikes it's the very first one that I choose for road riding* - but I've not ridden on the road in 2020, and I only rode on the road overseas in 2019, and I have the Tintin travel bike for that.

    * May also involve bridleways/SDW sections

  • I mean, £2000? Outrageously cheap yeah. That is a beautiful bargain for anyone 187cm. Glad I'm not.

  • Very generous of you and full of forum spirit to offer this for £2000. What a lovely bike. A real bargain for someone on here. I'm just too short :(

  • If shipping this to Japan wasn't so prohibitively expensive and I didn't have a very similar if admittedly inferior bike already I would be all over this. GLWS

  • I am so hoping my tax return (and potential refund) comes through soon so I can add this to my stable. It is absolutely reaming.

Thanks for the comments, pricing something like this is hard - I know what it cost me to build, and the asking price is a fraction of that, but it's a very specific build and needs someone who wants exactly what the bike is, if that makes sense. They also need to be a little taller than average.

What I'm hoping is that the (theoretical) buyer doesn't break it for parts as I suspect it'd make a fair profit on eBay that way. But of course you can't control what happens once it's no longer yours.

  • OMG that is so nice, don't need and can't afford but so tempted!

  • This bike is now sold.
