Yeah, they're not gold though are they?

I have maintained my ‘never service rear shocks and buy a new one’ status.
Cane Creek DB Air IL 165x38mm inbound. 😬

They’re good bars, got a set on my Capra, would recommend

Anyone got any recommendations for MTB shorts with a seam-free butt? I have some version of Endura shorts and constantly hook the seam on the underside on the front of my Adamo-style saddles.

Emperors new shorts?

Yeah boi! Just ordered a DB Air CS. Although I have had my current shock serviced.

I tried googling those but couldn't find a supplier. Where do I get some?

Ha!
I also just bought one of these so I can ride IF I do need to ever service my shock. Again, it was actually cheaper than a service..... £89.99 shipped with clearance code. https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/rockshox-monarch-rl-rear-shock-2016/rp-prod191731
365 day returns, so it'll sit here boxed and be returned when i sell the bike in a years time (maybe)

At J Tech, if they don't have your preferred stroke but they do have your preferred eye to eye they can adjust it, as it's just a volume limiting spacer.
There's a 2 week lead time though

After many months I finally finished the rebuild of my 2004 vintage Specialized Big Hit.

Is there any part of epping that is fun at the moment? I've not ridden there much and mainly ride whatever I can find off to the North of high beech. Is there somewhere better to be going?

New Cotic launching today. I'm not gonna spoil the surprise as to what it is, but I will say that if you want one, get it ordered ASAP, as they're going to have very limited stocks.

I was looking at some used Cotics recently as an option for a steel hardtail and/or Inbred replacement. But then I also like the idea of getting the oh-so-boring Surly Krampus type dealio for a Tour Divide setup. I know nothing about MTBs since 2000 though - I still think suspension is for cheats, disc brakes are voodoo and bars wider than your shoulders are for DH only.

Noice, the OG mullet bike.

Sent this to my mate. He still has his 2000 Big Hit.

He still has his 2000 Big Hit.
Is that because he hasn’t got round to organising the crane required to lift it from its current location and drop it in to a skip?
-
• #18745
Hippy's been borrowing that crane to get him in & out of the bath

Stopadoodledoo stunt ramp special!

an old riding buddy of mine had a Big Hit, we had stopped for a biscuit or a piss, and he rested it up against a bush, some horse riders came by and the horse took offence to his bike and kicked it, put a tiny dent in the down tube.
I thought it was going to break it in two, but they are well made... -
• #18749
It's more likely because he's not made of money and if it's still rideable why ditch it?
-

Take my money
Wolftooth Barcentric. Expensive at £80, but well engineered and isn’t offensive on the bars.
I’ve been perched so high on the saddle for so long this dropper malarkey is going to take some getting used to again!
