My 2020 MBP is now bricked.
Oh dear, missed this, sorry to hear that. It happened to a friend's with Catalina when it was new. He got a replacement in the end I think but IIRC it was a bit of bother. They might handle it better hopefully after similar experiences recently.
I think it has to be BIOS because it never seems to happen to hacks.

I upgraded to Big Sur last night.
My 2020 MBP is now bricked.
Am enjoying another day of Apple support.
My hypothesis this time: Does this thing have a BIOS? Did you corrupt it during an OS update?
