  • These are the carbon wheels from the Scalpel, with the rear hub replaced as it was non-boost, and a pair of the stickers that came with my SCR-30’s because they looked like they’d match the paint on the 529.

The original pair of TyreWiz are with Bike-Discount De at the moment, or possibly with SRAM.

Magura Storm CL rotors are beefy AF I have to say.

And, on a different note- anyone want a non-boost, 32h, CL and XD driver 240S hub?

  • Ha! I done the same with the reserve stickers and put them on the wheels of my dh bike to look more baller...

  • Might do. I'd need to convert the freehub to 11 speed Shimano, but I could be interested to go with the SON front hub from amey. Price?

  • Whatever you think is reasonable.

  • I might have an 11 speed Shimano free hub and end-caps, also. I'll have a look.

  • DT Swiss spare parts- two 15mm axles, two 10mm, one 12mm, two CL to IS disc adapters, a free hub (not sure how to tell what speed it is), two 15mm end caps and three QR.

  • I’m all good - starting to build up quite the DT Swiss spare let’s bin myself if I’m honest - random end caps, multiple freehubs, few different sets of pawls and springs, and, most importantly, special grease

  • I went to Peaslake today with the 529, I worked out that I should have out the DHR II wheels on around 0.2 seconds after I rode out of the carpark. However, the NN/HD hung on fairly well and I had fun, mention of the day has to go to the MT500 onesie which is a simply phenomenal bit of kit for riding in wet conditions - I'm seriously impressed with it.

I think I'm going to clean the bike down before it goes on the roof in future, which means taking (quite a lot of) water with me, but it'll be worth it as it'll mean that I don't cover myself in mud putting the bike on the rack, and it should be clean to use again the next time - as it stands I got home after dark and was insufficiently motivated to get the pressure washer out.

  • How did you find the pedals?

  • Hah, well - if I tell you that I bought them for the YT...

  • This mornings effort to contact YT

  • I gave up at that point.

  • They're still upset with you for not getting a Jeffsy

  • Seems that they're upset with a lot of people for that.

  • Yeah, but do you have his direct line/mobile number?

  • 0800-SUPPORT-YOUR-LBS 😉

  • If I could get my money back, I absolutely would.

  • Raised a dispute via MaterCard, money should be back in my account today or tomorrow.

  • Which colour?

  • RAW. 100%.
