  • I still tend to use desktops/laptops as glorified word precessors,
    but,
have never had any word processing training,
so routinely type monthly reports with embedded pictures.

    Within Libre Office,
imagine a table, (currently in a spreadsheet),
describing the effect of event a,b,c, etc on physical feature x,y,z, etc.

I have photos showing the effect.
How best to link the photos to each cell of the table?

  • Is it to be read on a computer or physical copy? You could hyperlink to the pictures from within the table (ie highlight the text in table, right click - add hyperlink - link to the picture)

  • Thank you for your quick reply.
I normally send these reports out as pdfs.
[Documents or spreadsheets: 'Export as ....'].

I do sometimes use hyperlinks, to, say a folder of photographs.

Is there any way to have a thumbnail show up as the cursor hovers over the cell?
