SP had a design / manufacturing problem a few years back that lead to really bad bearing wear within the first few hundred miles. Apparently they have fixed that issue now. SON claim to have a more sophisticated seals against moisture. I think either will serve you well. Petervary runs with SP and does much bigger rides than I ever will...
