From the reviews I've seen: if you like CoD - sure. If you don't - it's CoD.

It's not going to be better on anything else. Because it's rubbish.
I played the alpha and beta, not buying the game.
It's a massive step back, if you never had original black ops on PS3 then I image it would be pretty good but if you've played anything since then no.If you don't have a CoD then buy modern warfare, IMO it's the best 1st person shooter since COD4. Warzone is the best battle royale game out there too.
If you're not too fussed about traditional multiplayer I'd probably just play warzone, it's free and is about to get a new skin to look all 80s.

I've got to say I'm throughly enjoying it. Feels more like black ops style of game play which I enjoy.
Level design has really stepped up a notch also.
The campaign if that's your thing is pretty good too.
