Having reread your post I think that's a different issue to your problem of actual photos not being included, sorry!
Some email apps I've used strip/don't support inline images. Which one are you using? Do you have an option to save the email plus inline media/attachments? In theory that would download the email, plus the jpgs separately to your desktop.

I’ve been using external Thunderbolt 3 caddies with Samsung NVMe M.2 drives inside.
Cheaper than off-the-peg SSDs, much faster (I get ~2.7GB/s read and write with a Samsung 970 inside) and the alu case dissipated the heat much better than a T5 which ends up throttling very quickly.

Interesting, cheers! Which enclosure are you using and where from...

It’s a ‘JEYI’ off AliExpress, genuine Intel TB3 chipset inside & nicely machined alu enclosure.

Question for any Adobe Premiere Pro users: I'm getting thin red / blue / magenta lines on the edges of my exported video, anyone know why? Cheers in advance!
Couldn't find a more specific thread than this one...

screenshot? presume you've tried scaling / 'zooming' the timeline .1% or something to see if that gets rid of it on export. And presume you've tried on multiple players (VLC/Quicktime etc) and perhaps tried on multiple devices?

Also considering the £31/month from Apple direct (128GB model) but adding the extra £6 for Apple Care, just in case. Might wait to see if there are any promos (I doubt it) during Black Friday. Do let me know your impressions if you get hold of one.

530pm, got up at 8am, on 72% so i cant say im worried that battery life will be an issue.
scrolled endlessly through socials and ~2.5 hours of music streaming.
I bought the 64 GB in Blue in cash, I stream all my music via PlexAmp so never needed more space

Yes!
Make sure you get a usb enclosure that supports UASP. This is pretty crucial if you’re using it for a boot device as it’ll give you much better read/write performance and doesn’t just treat the storage as generic memory, and carries some sata protocols.
I used this one https://amzn.to/2UrtKIX for over three years daily in a production environment without issue - booting an iMac and running creative suite.
Then you want to put a really solid ssd in there. I’ve had good luck with high end Samsung’s (830s, 840 pros, 850 pros...) but will let you do the research...
You can get faster speeds with the latest nvme enclosures, just make sure to look out for UASP so you don’t just wreck a nice disk.

I have had a few Samsung for some years without problems. Very small sample set though.

Anything thinks there will be a smart battery case for the iPhone 12 range, their battery life this year seems quite poor compared to last year.

Robot vacuum cleaner just marched through the charging cable and pulled my MBP onto the floor again. Remind me, why did Apple get rid of MagSafe?
Also, is there a high quality modern replacement for MagSafe that can adapt USB-C to a non-stupid method of charging?

I'm sorry that it happened, but I had to lol. Top notch first world problem

I just chortled through my porridge too.
Put the robot hoover through the robot waste macerator as punishment?

Then who would hoover up after the cats have shed everywhere?

Have you considered robot vacuum cleaner training?

Here's a shot. Happens when dipping in and out of black. Is it something to do with the timeline, that seems to have corresponding colours? I think I toggled something I shouldn't have. Zoom gets rid, but I need those pixels :) It exists in Premiere Pro and on the exported video.

Pretty sure I saw an aftermarket one on r/battlestations
Utfs inc. reddit + battlestations as terms and you should find them.
Obvs won't be as fast which is why they were scrapped.

I've got a third party magnetic usb-c thing but I'm convinced it drains the battery quicker. Instead now I have a usb cable with a 45 degree end that's definitely going to snap at some point.
