Is there a new Arkose?

Looks pretty impressive for Decathlon, and 'Lifetime guarantee: frame, carbon fork, stem, handlebar.' is nice too.

While this does appear to be in fact gravel, I’m not totally convinced this isn’t just your front driveway

Outrageously priced at 1,400. That’s a lot of bike and electronics
Decathalon coming out swinging while there’s seemingly a shortage of bike frames

Holy shit that’s a LOT of bike for the money! Even with usb charging as standard!

Riverside
That looks pretty handy. Awesome for camping/trekking.
Would ride whilst humming this charming ditty (nsfw):

Been following this on gram for a while, looks so good. Well researched and thought out, taking loads of feedback on board. Great project.

Rip arkose.

Don't worry, I had to cross county lines to get there. I think part of it might be a driveway. There were an awful lot of signs stressing that while it was a bridleway, horses should be kept off the verges.

Rip arkose.
The greenlight I’ve been waiting for.

• #14013
Yeah, been watching along too. The bike looks great - fingers crossed all the plug and play racks and bags and stuff they’ve been working on match up.

Quite taken with these.

Yes. I sort of regret not going for a Secan. But hopefully they’ll stick around for a while.

• #14016
Would look just the ticket with ekar imo.

Kind of expected more with all the fanfare.
Does anybody with knowledge of geometry know if the frame suffers from the Surly syndrome? That's a lot of spacers.

• #14018
Thats the lower version, no? They make one with a taller ht methinks. Havnt read the new “lookbook”

Pretty much. Someone's up to date on their 'Gravé' tropes.

Yeah it's impressive, I met and briefly rode with one of their testers last year on the TNR. He was on a proto of that bike. They've spend a decent amount of time on it. Decathlon do product development really well.

There was a very good article on the French mag 200 about the development of that bike (not sure if it's online). They have spent a lot of R&D money on it.

I want one a lot. I hope they make loads too.
Curious about the scales of R&D, sales and profit of a project like that vs something like the specialized aethon.
Cheshire does #nogravel very well.
