Is it too far-fetched to assume that all the guff about Cummings being unpopular, etc. is being used as a smokescreen for President-Elect pressure on Johnson?
I saw this article earlier in which it was said that Johnson apparently has been fond of reminding Cummings of his Durham trip in meetings--but why, if everything was legal and above board, would that even be an issue?
