Yeah, I suspect he's hit that awkward point for a small business where he's too successful for one person to manage, but not quite big enough to support the extra people he clearly needs (at least in his own mind - the fact that he's selling hundreds of watches in about five minutes every time he opens his online shop suggests he probably could?).
Regarding the Timefactors chat upthread, I've heard that Eddie's customer service can occasionally be rather stereotypically Grumpy Yorkshireman, but I have to say I've never had cause to complain.
I managed to brave the quirks of his ordering process and order one of these on Sunday, which arrived today; it's really rather nice:
