Well indeed. I also find it disappointing that wheelchair users don't fund their own accessibility infrastructure.
Anyway, must dash, I'm off to tell the missus how she can adjust her behaviour so that she wont get leery comments from people when she's out running.
It's a software fix to enable someone in his circumstances to make use of the hardware he's already purchased. It's not unreasonable to simply accept that Apple should make an accommodation for such a situation, rather than telling him to buy another piece of hardware to mitigate a problem that didn't exist until the most recent OS update...
