  • E-Thru axles...?

Budget build with a Serious Grafix Elite frameset, which came complete with thru-axles.
Hub sizes required are 12x100 front, 12x142 rear.
(Original wheels spec: Alex Boondocks 3 TLR, 24H, QR, F:12x100/R:12x142)

I was about to order this Shimano RS171 Disc Wheelset, when I saw it says "Axle Type: E-Thru".

I can't find much simpleton-level info on e-thru axles and their compatibility.
Will these wheels fit my 'standard' 12x100/12x142 thru-axles ?

    Many thanks.

Yes, the holes are the right size, you just need the through bolts which match your frame and fork threading, which you already have.

E-Thru is 90% Shimano being dicks and coming up with a name for something which doesn't need another name, and the other 10% is that they put a QR lever on the end instead of a bolt head, so you don't need tools to take your wheels out.
