Possibly a good Friday project would be to equate all rapha kit options to sandwich varieties.

Croque Monsieurs for breakfast? Heresy.
My french wife just said Putain!I prefer croque madame (soft fried egg on top) or a monte cristo. You take a croque monsieur, dip it in egg, and then fry it in butter.
Amazing, but you won't fit into Rapha kit any more...

Nothing wrong with the ingredients of the CM but the execution as a sandwich is dubious at best.
It’s exactly the same as 3/4’s, sure keep your knees warm but it’s not the answer. -

I always had the figure that 30 were made, but no reason for this. Maybe more, perhaps less. An amount went to the Imperial Works auction, the rest, like tears in the rain....
....Give me a shout if anyone has one for sale, best prices paid!

At least there’s a nice big jug of maple syrup.
-
• #35322
I guess that's tea?
Crepes with maple syrup seems wrong, because maple syrup is too thin, and crepes don't absorb toppings so well, or good at mopping up the plate. 80% of the syrup would end up on the plate.
Slightly thicker toppings work better, like lemon curd, nutella, sweetened chestnut puree.
Pernigotti spread is a classy choice.

• #35323
Yeah, tea. We keep the maple syrup for thicker varieties like buttermilk pancakes.
-
• #35324
So you pour tea on crepes? Weird.

In the rapha thread nothing surprises me anymore.
Arguably the best sandwich. So incredibly versatile, you can have them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I present last night's evidence, we had them with a salad and then ate the left-overs for lunch.
It's not metabolism, @amey . All you need is a bit of discipline to limit your intake of unhealthy food.
