Garmin all day long. Most of the Garmin issues are down to user error in my experience. Worth considering the 1030 at Wiggle given it's not much more than a 530 in the current sale...

Having owned a 530 and an 830 I much preferred the touch screen, however I know the lack of touch screen and the use of buttons are a major plus for some. I found it really cumbersome to re route on the fly and the lack of touch screen limited my ability to quickly and easily pan the map.
