If it helps I backed £300's worth of board game on kickstarter in april 2019 and was one of the last backers due to receive their parcel at end of september 2020, only for it to have been held at the shipping depot days before it went out because a lot of the packages other people received had something suspected to be mold in the boxes.
Well they checked the "mold" and it's some totally harmless naturally occurring bacteria from when the factory flooded during production so contents are completely safe to play and they're reprinting the damaged boxes and any other content for people who destroyed their copies due to health concerns when the situation first arose.
turns out they legally can't ship the remaining packages knowing it has any kind of "contamination" so me and a small handful of other backers now have to wait for the full reprint to complete and re-ship from china before we receive anything, preliminary estimate late may/june next year. meanwhile people are now posting their unboxing photos on the group as they start playing the games new campaign content.

Finished work - Xbox Live down.
Didn’t remember to set the console as my home console earlier so not able to play anything.

Does the Xbox 4 have a fancy new controller?
Or running same/similar to the previous gen(s)? -
• #23931
Somewhere between old and elite controller apparently.

Slightly smaller (feels nicer in the hand). Better bumpers and triggers.

Wow that's rough. Any chance of you getting some extra stuff because of it all?

Just saw you pop up online!

nah, I went all-in so there's nothing i wont receive anyways.
only conceivable alternative would be to send us a retail copy of the previous edition of the base game to tide us over but they go for £95 still so that's not happening.

Envious of all these deliveries... Mine never turned up, now it's in Swindon at the 'final delivery location'. Which would be great if i lived anywhere near Swindon.
Spoke to them on the phone as they advised on an email I received, and they're adamant it'll arrive today, but the tracking says Saturday. Lovely man though, very friendly.
How's everyone enjoying them? I hear the loading times are mind blowing.

I might actually complete games now. Playing FH4 last night, fast travelling to a race, loading it and starting took 10 seconds max. It used to take 2 or 3 minutes.

considering the fact that i play games on the same shonky monitor i do my work on, is faster loading times and newer titles the only thing i have to look forward to with next gen gaming?
-
• #23942
Higher and consistent fps too. If you're using a 1080 monitor everything should be hitting 60fps and sitting there comfortably now, the exception being some specific older games that have a 30fps hard limit.

fair enough - who doesn't like more f's per s?
-

my opinion about lack of next gen games aside, anecdotes I've heard are people saying the backwards compatible games now play like they should have when they were released.

Xcom2 on the ps4 has some soul crushing loading times. Manually deleting old save files does speed some things up a bit but it's still a good 2 mins to load a mission on occasion.
i love that game.

All this fast loading will leave no time for drinking beer or eating crisps.
If anyone sees any news about all access being open for orders please give me a shout.

gone back to hollow knight - had made it a good amount of the way through last time so I'm... just about to fight the final boss
on 66% completion

RTX 3080 due to hit my doorstep today, excited to say the least.
After sitting at over 1500 in queue for an ASUS card, looking at delivery in 2077, managed to grab one from elsewhere (although for £80 more...)
Cheers to @Brun for pointing me in the right direction for stock alerts
4k 60fps gaming is here!
