Hey everyone, my much loved Cinelli Vigorelli was stolen around 1:45am today from Fish Island, Hackney Wick. It's quite a rare pink and grey frame (often called the Vigorosa) so I'm really hoping that sharing it round will help get it spotted online or around the area.
Other defining features are H+son wheel set, omnium crankset and it’s fixed gear. It’s a bit worn as been well used but also well loved. Was my first bike when I started crit racing a few years ago and has big sentimental value so you could keep your eyes peeled, it would be much appreciated x

Currently our street (N16) is plagued by a group of fearless thieving youngsters and bikes are disappearing daily. Last night i saw some of them removing a Supreme s/s (black with red crank and bars) but they left this one and secured it with a chain of their own - so they'll be back for it soon i guess. If its yours or you know who it might belong to let me know and I'll gladly put every lock i have on it
Its a Brother frame - supplied at some point by Barclays in Dalston

There was a (fairly rubbish) kickstarter campaign for a (weedy) chain lock which had a sheath made of chainsaw protection material which would entangle any power tool you use to cut it. I've always thought that was a good idea and could be taken further by adding steel cable to the sheath so that you can't easily just cut it off with scissors.

The Communty bike shop on John Ruskin Street (Aberfeldy House) SE5 was burgled a night ago, lots of Park hand tools gone And some Makita bits and pieces. Not too fussed about those as you can buy off the shelf but....
Also missing is a customers Specialized RockCombo pictured below. All original minus the brand new cockpit we’d put on to put it back to drop bars. The bike belonged to his dad, and was gifted to him a long time ago, so holds sentimental importance with the guy.
if anyone sees this around or is offered it for sale, please theow a lock around it, contact me on here, or @eldrecycles on Instagram. The police are aware but as always the best hope we have of getting it back is spotting it ourselves.
Reward is offered!
RockCombo (Teal and white)
Turbo saddle (black)
Suntour XCD group
Rear rack
Soma Portola chrome bars
Shimano r400 levers
Micro shift bar-end shifters
Cork tape (black)

Sorry to hear that ☹️. What a great looking bike

It rode incredibly too. Annoying that some scumbag might be having the time of their lives and not even realise how good it is.

I dont think the material around the cable in the litelok is marketed as something that would tangle a blade. I think he meant the hench lock which didn't get funded, but looks like an interesting concept

Those litelocks are a bit of a joke. They’re easily cut through, they just used the wrong tools for the job in their videos making them look impossible to break. There’s a bloke on YouTube who cuts through one in seconds

Apparently they've blocked viewing some of their videos in the UK. They've put approved comments only on and hidden the likes/dislikes on all their videos too.

The Lock picking lawyer? I agree with you on lite loks being shite but he does dispatch with almost any lock in seconds 😄
-
• #15642
Meh, it doesn't weigh much and it's sold secure gold for the insurance, I use it for my shopping bike.

EDIT: PICS REMOVED AS MATE HAS RECOVERED HIS BIKE
Mate's just had his bike nicked over night outside my flat in E5.. it was a total rat bike, not of much value, but cherished nonetheless. Single speed conversion with a chain tensioner and ridiculous BMX stem and bars and the frame is rare enough so it's very distinguishable. Non-original forks and a silver crankset. Lock was cut through.
To clarify it is NOT this bike in the first pic but it is the SAME frame - a scott USA. The second pic is the actual bike but obvs not the best picture!! If anyone sees it can you throw a lock on it and send me a PM?
Many thanks
Can't see it has any resale value so this is the sort of thing you may see someone riding round on locally.

One bike thief caught, loads to go:

It seems as if this one had very sophisticated methods thrown at him.

Cross post from the motorbike thread.
Local thieves have been trying to steal my motorbike in New Cross yesterday. The only one day this year the bike was left unlocked (I had a prospective buyer coming to view it).
My neighbour stepped in to prevent the theft - top guy!
He said those two people on the scooter are well known motorbike thieves in the SE area.
