Scotty is a Romanian rescue, he's pretty cool. Got him from https://www.halfwayhome-dogrescue.org/ mostly Facebook/messenger based communication.

There seem to be quite a few rescue dogs from Romania about at the moment. I was chatting to a couple with a lovely what they reckoned was a GSD crossed with something (as they often seem to be) - they said they'd had no luck trying to get a dog locally for some time, hence why they looked further afield. I guess a lot of people are in a similar position?
