The reason why I asked was because it's best to refrain from commenting on what happened unless one was a witness, and in that case it's also generally best to reserve one's witness testimony for any formal proceedings following a crash, e.g. giving it to the police. In particular, commenting on how the victim chose to cycle and implying blame is something best avoided. 'Rider down' threads are often found by the victim and/or family and friends, as this forum has a high search rating. The rules for the sub-forum are here in this sticky:
