This sounds great, thank you, much appreciated! I think I'm going to head out this way, then back the next day via Amersham.
My pleasure, if you find a nice route via Amersham, please share it!

Did this Kent route yesterday after finding it on this thread. Wanted to say thanks but can’t find the exact post anymore. The original route started in Lewisham I think, we did it from Hackney. It’s a nice way out, super nice and quite hilly, can totally recommend. Thnx to whoever posted it here!

Looks like one of mine. No worries! How'd you go on Yorks Hill?

Does anyone have a quiet and flat(ish) route from South London out into Windsor?

This route, if it still exists was good;

Even if I do say so myself.

@youramericanlover I can take no credit for last weekend's route as it was @seager 's doing. This one is pretty popular but is also decent:

Watch out for that brutal 200 ft climb mid way through!

yes - that was the one, thnx so much! Some suffering on the hills. It was also my first +100k. Would totally do it again.

Anyone got a good Kent loop of around 50k? (We’ll be riding out from east London)
-
• #1039
You’ll only get to Bromley doing a 50km loop from Hackney. Best getting a train from London Bridge and doing a loop starting and finishing from Sevenoaks.

Sorry, I mean a 50k loop in Kent bearing in mind we’re approaching from Hackney. Not expecting to break the laws of physics.

Thank you!

Boo hiss, talk about aiming low.

Made these two recently. Not done them but they're mostly roads I know.

Kent via Greenwich has a wee bit of gravel at 68.5-69.5km by Hawleys Corner. Nothing major but worth bearing in mind if you're on 23mm/ it's 2002.

• #1046
Gravel is being generous. Pot-holed, rutted hell track is more accurate.

Watch out for the canyons, craters, swamps and moats.

Is there a better way to search ridewithgps, seems there no way to filter on any sort of quality measure/public views.
Or is there a consolodated set of routes from this thread it seems a lot of the old routes are dead links /or even popular routes in general/ridewithgps users with a lot of half decent public routes.

• #1049
Not that I know of, and we'll all have different ideas of roads that are acceptable. Where do you want to go?

Thanks for the tip off. I like a bit of crappy surface, especially a climb. South side of Hosey Common Lane and Trevereux Hill are great!
That is an impressive amount of climbing for that part of the country, ha ha. Might give some of these a go! Thanks.
