Update on "hats is cold"... I bought a merino baselayer and some armwarmers... and it's been 25 degrees during the day since! Today it was noticeably colder so I took the armwarmers out of the packaging, to discover one single armwarmer. Why would anyone want just one? I didn't check when I ordered to see if they came as a pair as I just assumed - like I do with socks, gloves, etc - that there would be two. FFS.
On the plus side, I did the timekeeping for a half marathon at the weekend and I got paid in hats. Hats for hats! Some justice in the world at last.
