What bag?!

  • I hunting for a big tasty messenger bag.

I really like the BLCKCHRM 22X CITIZEN MESSENGER but I've heard mixed things about the quality/durability/comfort of this brand.

Any thoughts and suggestions would be shweet.

Also dunno if I put this in the right place!

  • Get a bagaboo instead, customisable, hand made and utterly indestructible. Mine is nearly ten years old and I use it nearly daily.

  • My Chrome Citizen is 7.5 years old and shows no reason to believe it won't last for at least that timespan again. When I crushed a plastic buckle between a door and a doorpost a couple of years ago and they sent me a new one free of charge.

  • They look pretty sound. Proper bomb proof? They're not too much too..

  • Chrome Citizen is pure classic - I have used it about 5 years (I’m second owner - total age 10+ year) and zero problems.
For carrying larger/heavier things, I prefer the Chrome Bravo 2.0 backpack and the Chrome Chekhov for short city trips ;)

    EDIT :
Bagaboo messengers bags are quite same prize range - what are pros?

  • wow tbh I'm surprised at the response to the chrome bags! Did kind of like them myself originally, I really like well made things. I have just been hearing a lot of people knocking them recently. Seems like that they're probably the way to go after hearing this!

.... cheers for the advice all.

Bagaboo seem good if you go for the customisation and they are cheaper but only marginally. I do really like the European vibe however... might consider them for something else in future.

  • I've got a Bagaboo backpack not a messenger bag but it has been used daily and phenomenally durable.
