I don't really want Roglic to lose another stage race on the last proper day, it's not nice.
-
• #29578
doesn't look good for roglic this. going to be close
-
• #29579
Also where's Dan Martin gone?
-
• #29580
Oh, Rog.
-
• #29581
Nice of Movistar to adopt Roglic and lead him out.
-
• #29582
Yup, drinks owed in Madrid.
-
• #29583
Great ride from Gaudu, I think he's ridden himself into the Top 10 as well.
-
• #29584
grand tours were all amazing this year
-
• #29585
I think (but cannot prove) the lack of mid-summer heat has really helped with this.
-
• #29586
Will there be racing tomorrow, or a roll the. Bunch sprint a la le tour?
-
• #29587
Carapaz and Carthy were amazing this Vuelta.
Reckon they would have usurped Roglic if they had 2 more days in the mountains...
-
• #29588
Does this prove that Roglic isn’t quite capable of riding solo?
-
• #29589
Agreed! Good to finish the season off with a banger though

Might be worth starting a Jake Stewart thread too, one to watch at FDJ.
Don't let me stop you. :)
(That was meant in reply to @rhb.)

... or maybe attacked earlier down the hill ... ? Easy to say , but ....

Or the Wright Said Fred
I fought someone would say that.
-
• #29593
Same was said about Froome in the past.
Roglic is unbelievably solid, no real bad day ever.
Just not very exciting, hangs in the GC group, out sprints them at the end, wins the TTs.

• #29594
If only today was 1k longer . 40 odd seconds between the top 3
-
• #29595
Roglic's run of results in stage races is extraordinary. He would have added the Dauphine this year had he not crashed. And he won Liege this year.

He seems both inhuman and very human. I like that about him. When he is good, he looks impossible to beat, and then when he cracks, or nearly does like today, he suddenly looks beatable.
-
• #29597
seems sound too
-
• #29599
Which is wrong in the same way that Trump was elected, Brexit happened, etc.
Humans aren't all that in the IQ stakes.

It's "up the road" if they're in front.
I stopped doing clubruns because they couldn't get this right.
(not really)
Roglic at risk of becoming a modern day Poulidor in a single season here.
