  • Delta. I had these exact pedals.

TBH they were actually much nicer to use than my Keos. Albeit much, much heavier.

  • A milk bottle is a good choice if you want white. A plastic folder would be about as similar as I can think, so go for that.

White is quite a good colour tho. Matches most things and is good for viability.

  • Difficult to answer just from pics, but wondering what the forum’s thoughts are, if this damaged 7005 frame is repairable. First pic is top cup of headset, second is seat tube. I thought maybe reaming the headset but it might leave the alloy too thin? The seat tube I’d be concerned about cracks.

  • I bent a headset just like that back on my mielec years ago and it's been fine, I'd probably do the same with the seat post. Careful bending with some molegrips and tidy up with a file and and some sandpaper.

  • The epic bleed solutions kit works fine.

  • trying to transfer USD from my GBP uk account to a Bank in Taiwan- what’s the easiest way to go about this? I’ve tried to use Monzo but it’s asking me to fill in an ACH routing number which I can’t find / doesn’t seem to exist for that bank, have asked the recipient but while I wait... Any suggestions? Thanks

  • Edit: Yup, recipient needs to provide:

https://www.ofx.com/en-gb/faqs/how-do-i-find-my-ach-routing-number/#:~:text=ACH stands for Automated Clearing, banks in the United States.

  • Oh haha you edited your answer 😆

Thanks, I’ll wait for their reply

  • went off Monzo and instead used the transferwise website (who Monzo have integrated with for international cross currency transfers) and I’ve managed to do it. Think its an issue in their app because the prerequisite for an ACH number shouldn’t have been there for a Taiwanese bank.

  • My Pearson Carbon Audax Pro frame went creaky around the bottom bracket a while back so I retired it.

It was secondhand when I got it and already fairly well used, and only cost me about £300 once I'd sold off the bits that came with it. Then I did 12,000km on it, so I feel like I've had my value for money.

I don't think it's worth repairing, so is it a case of take it down the tip? Is there anything less wasteful I could do with it? I'm not going to hang it on a wall or anything like that, it's not beautiful and that's not really my vibe...

  • Any recommended software for PC or Android that will recover corrupt photo files? I've got a relatively small amount (<200) on an SD card that I'd like to try to retrieve. Everything I've tried on Google Play is difficult to navigate as no file sorting or filtering available. All Windows options I've seen are quite expensive.

  • I've used Recuva for deleted files before, free and simple to use

  • Did anyone know a frameset I can put on some ec34-ec49 headset ?
I only find the Yeti Arc (2011) and some Dartmoor bikes
    Thanks !

  • I've used photorec successfully.

  • Offer it up to the frame builders forum? But be useful for people to cut up and test their welding on?

  • be useful for people to cut up and test their welding on?

Only the ones who want to try welding carbon fibre 🙂

  • Oops, that’ll teach me for scan reading...

  • Hah don't worry, other half said "Can't you just give it to the scrap metal people" 😂

Is there a carbon frame builders forum?

  • The age of that thread is scary AF.

What have I done with my life?

  • I know right. It's basically from the same time we moved into our flat and I'm clearing this out because we're selling. Feeling quite sentimental about it but it has to go!

  • OK, thanks for the recommendations, think I'll stick with the Omnium's.
Any recommendations for a GXP Bottom Bracket or just stick with the standard Sram one?

  • Question about rim brake pad holder bolts:

Shimano and other manufacturers use strange proprietary bolts with a radius under the bolt head.
Picture below: (from left to right) ISO 7380, TRP bolt with washer, Shimano bolt with washer

After thinking about it I can't see any reason why I shouldn't be able to just use a normal bolt with a washer instead of the specific bolt.
    Am I missing something?

  • Can you get an 1/8 inch chain compatible wheel for the DMR STS? Or does anyone have a suggestion to make it wider without making a mess off it. I don't have a lathe, lol.

  • Surely any aftermarket jockey wheel would do it?
