That’s lovely but when my ride to work is -500ft in 4 miles and I can comfortably cruise at 28-30mph with traffic on the main road with the compact x 11-42 why would I stick with the spinny 1x? We not all blessed with the pancake of London.
But beyond day to day commuting why would you limit yourself like that? Whole point of gravel bike is finding the ultimate compromise between road and off road.
