I am selling my (Cat N repaired) 2018 Yamaha XSR 700 ABS as I have not been using it at all this year as I have been remotely working. Also, the bike is too low/small for me at 5ft11.
First registered on 23rd April 2018 (so first MOT due in late April 2021), I have owned it since February 2019. It is just over 2 years old and has 3,813 miles on the clocks. It works well and drives great.
It was last serviced May 2018 at 849 miles.
For those who don't know, the XSR700 is the "retro" style bike built around the excellent 689cc Yamaha Twin engine from the MT07 which develops 74bhp. It is one of the most agile and entertaining retro-inspired rides with plenty of opportunity for customisation.
Included in the sale, are:
All original paperwork / service book / V5 / 3 keys incl. the red one;
MT07 / FZ07 / XSR700 Haynes Manual;
2x flip front helmets (HJC R-Pha Max in L & Duchinni D619 in M);
an excellent Oxford "all weather" cover;
an Abus 8077 disc lock; and
an Oxford Oximiser battery charger (lead is fitted to the battery).
The model is YAMAHA XSR 700 A, which is the "blacked out" model and it comes with the restrictor plate if you wanted to use a 35kW restricted licence.
Fitted with YISS coded key immobiliser and has also been DATATAG'd.
Comes with all the paperwork, service book and two spare keys (incl. the red one).
The bike has been fitted with:
Black CNC levers;
Evotech crash protectors for frame, front & rear spindles;
Black Alloy Radiator Guard;
Black Puig Race Footpegs; and
Black CNC Gear Selector & Pro-Bolt Rod.
The bike was previously recorded as an Insurance Category N (non structural) and has been repaired by the previous owner to a good standard. It has also been used in central London (ULEZ Compliant & Free Congestion Charge) so this is not a show bike or garage queen - it is used and has marks and scuffs. Please bear in mind that this is not a new bike and has been accident repaired so you will see remnants of it and this has been reflected in the price. If you can't live with the Cat N & a few marks/scuffs/patina then this bike is not for you.
Apart from the above, the bike looks good and rides well & straight. It is currently on a private plate (F11TUR) and will go back to the original plate (FL18YUW).
A non Cat N would sell for £4,500 to £4,950 so I have priced it 20% below at £3,600 only, which is the lowest priced XSR700 in the UK and is less half the price of a new bike (£8,250) that's only 2 years old.
I am in South East London, an area called New Cross (SE14) so please come and see the bike and I will take you for a spin.
