Thanks @tinakino.
I’m on the look out for a long narrow trough planter for my mantelpiece. Ideally L1200mm x D150mm x H150mm.. so that I can have a row of these bad boys
Possibly converting an aluminium wall mounted light fitting (strip out innards and lamps) but that seems too obvious.

Keep some of the lamps in for dramatic effect 😎

I noticed this starting to grow on the shoot that came out the centre of the cactus. Should I cut off the dead looking end of the shoot or just leave it to do it’s own thing?

Oo looks like a runner. If it works like strawberries stick a pot with soil in under it, leave it to take root then cut it off.

It’s sending its tentacles out to probe for your vulnerable grey matter. Kill it with fire.

Haworthia Keiki. Leave it to get bigger. Plant it in a nearby pot without removing it. You can separate it when it has roots and/or runner has begun to wither.

Monstera or Pothos?
Why yellow? Is it over / under watering, or too much sunlight? Or 11 month old eating the soil?

I'd take a stab at Monkey Leaf monstera - Monstera adansonii
Could't tell you why it's yellowing. Any evidence of beasties on it (under leaves, in soil, etc.)?
Edit - a quick Google suggests overwatering (again, I have no idea - so take with a pinch of salt): https://www.modandmint.com/monstera-adansonii-care-swiss-cheese-vine-plant/

I got a big indoor pot. What plant should I put in it? It'll go on the floor so thinking of something that will go at least a couple of feet high and not trailing down. I don't mind (prefer) starting small and growing big over time. I have loads of indoor plants but they all small things. Thinking not Swiss cheese or rubber plant. Something that isn't super fussy about filtered water etc and doesn't need misting. Suggestions?

How about a weeping fig (Ficus Benjamina)?
I think it looks nice, plus has added benefit of purifying the air in the room.
It does want a bright spot (close to a window) but not direct sunlight all day. -

Oh, I didn't know about the Nunhead Gardener. That's one to visit. Ta!

Ficus Robusta? Unless you'd call that a rubber plant...

They should be putting their online shop back up this week

Ta. I feel like it's too tree-like and I want something with bigger leaves. Not really sure what I want tho so good just to see people's favourites :)

Pretty sure that's a rubber plant :)
They are nice though. I said not them or Swiss cheese because they seem too standard/obvious to me, but there's a reason they're popular. Maybe with variegated leaves. -

I like the look of the birds nest fern (especially wavy versions) but the living room is probably too dry.

I've got one. Had it about 18 months. It started off looking like that. It is in the living room on a tray of wet pebbles and gets regularly sprayed. Now has about 5 leaves left :(

I can’t remember what plant it is. But the leaves at the top turned yellow. Am I going wrong on it?
