How about a weeping fig (Ficus Benjamina)?
I think it looks nice, plus has added benefit of purifying the air in the room. It does want a bright spot (close to a window) but not direct sunlight all day.
Ta. I feel like it's too tree-like and I want something with bigger leaves. Not really sure what I want tho so good just to see people's favourites :)
