For that, I think he would be happy. But considering the tight margins, it shows the US is still a segregated country imo. The orange cunt really leaves no room to vote in his favour without being a racsist or being indifferent about racsism.

Ah got it, stalling tactics.
Em... so, I don't know. Perhaps they deemed those too toxic... one already got veto'd.
Impeachment again may have been seen as too risky. Yeah I get it, but it could have cost them the election perhaps so... tricky."Career politician" is one of those terms thrown about that I find too vague, if you see it as "somebody not bought by corporate cash" yeah I'd prefer politicians like that. Everybody does.
I suppose that is why people liked Trump. Not that he isn't born into big money and all that, that's the bit I didn't get...was sorta really obvious there.

The biggest shock of this election is learning that Will is shagging Chris Aroogah

The democrats could have easily stalled the confirmation of Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court last week
Not without a majority in the Senate they couldn't.
(Republicans stalled in similar circumstances for an entire year).
True, for situations where similar means completely different! When Obama was trying to nominate a new SC judge, the Republicans had a Senate majority, which they had held since 2014. That makes a significant difference.

@mespilus Amen. I'm sure he would have appreciated the fact that it was votes from his county that turned the tide in Georgia. I'm sure he would also have a rye smile hearing that Stacey Abrams has been so instrumental in potentially flipping the state after being robbed in the 2018 gubernatorial election. The last time Georgia voted Democrat in a presidential election was 1992.

Stacey Abrams attracted some borderline desparate encouragement to run
in the Democratic nomination process.
She turned down those offers of support as she knew she could help the Democrats win
by continuing her ground game, organising and voter registration, in Georgia. She has plenty of time left to be a Democratic candidate for President.

don't know if it's been mentioned before but this is big news in the US too

Did I read somewhere that GOP helped fund pro-legalisation candidates to take votes away from Democrat legislature candidates in a number of states?

I'll be raising a glass and toasting them both over the weekend. Fingers crossed for another Dem win in the Senate run off in Jan. That would be a great way to start 2021.

Trump wants to fire the Head of the CIA and Defence Secretary today. Was going to try to fire the head of FBI too but you know, didn't want to go too far.
What did he ask them to do that they refused?

It's a really nice coat.

What did he ask them to do that they refused?
Probably less that they refused, maybe more that they failed to display their loyalty by digging up or fabricating any credible 'evidence' on Biden & Ukraine (or other things).
