The democrats could have easily stalled the confirmation of Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court last week
Not without a majority in the Senate they couldn't.
(Republicans stalled in similar circumstances for an entire year).
True, for situations where similar means completely different! When Obama was trying to nominate a new SC judge, the Republicans had a Senate majority, which they had held since 2014. That makes a significant difference.

Maybe there is a reason this would not have worked, but I don’t see it.
There were options involving the debt ceiling too apparently.
Regarding the centrist nightmare... The democrats could have easily stalled the confirmation of Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court last week (Republicans stalled in similar circumstances for an entire year). Instead they used it as a campaign driver and will (going forward) have a convenient reason/excuse not to implement minimum wage policies etc. They can’t, it’ll be blocked. This says loads!
AOC and Omar are allowed to call for expansion of the Supreme Court now ... but had their mouths shut when it mattered.
I’m mega cynical but I can see Biden/Harris being massively unpopular (for all sorts of good and bad reasons) but they’re career politicians, difficult to unseat.
