Actually, of course they would if they thought he were in with even a faint sniff. Not an ounce of a principle among them!
This will have taken it out of him though and he will be an old(er) man then too.

He'll be 78 by then. Somehow I doubt he'll be relevant then. It's his kids that worry me.
You just hope there's enough of a paper trail so they can bar them from public office for life and ideally sue them beyond bankruptcy.
