  • Trump is going to be a fucking nuisance for the entirety of the Biden term

  • I read last night he will stand in 2024 if he loses this one...

  • I don't think he will. I get the feeling that after a few weeks of outrage, he's going to slip into obscurity for a while.

I also don't think he'll run in 2024, especially if Harris runs. I don't think he could win that. (His party are seemingly stepping away, and his oblivious approach of she's a woman and she's not white will put off more than it'll attract).

Just my thoughts though, could be well off the mark.

  • But given there are some pretty transparent attempts to distance from him, would he gain the support next time around?

Actually, of course they would if they thought he were in with even a faint sniff. Not an ounce of a principle among them!

This will have taken it out of him though and he will be an old(er) man then too.

  • He'll be plenty busy in court for the rest of his unnatural lifetime.

  • I think he's a bit fucked.

Not like he can go back to being on TV, can he. It would be an embarrassment.

What will he do with his life?

    Hopefully spend it in prison.

  • Bit like washing your bike in winter

  • He'll be plenty busy in court for the rest of his unnatural lifetime.

Hope so. But would they cut a deal to make him go away?

  • It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife?

  • I get the feeling as soon as the Republicans completely distance themselves from him (assuming he loses) he'll cut quite a sad figure, sending crazy tweets from the fringes.

Depends a bit on who the next Republican choice is though, if the hard right consider the next pick 'their guy' then Trump stops having a role; if they pick any sort of centrist Trump won't go away.

  • Guess it depends on a lot of things - a LOT of people voted for him so I think he could find life post-presidency quite lucrative. TV, speaking places, and for candidates. Like señor bear says I expect him to be all over the place.

  • It’s like raaaaaaa-iiiiiiii-aaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • Not like he can go back to being on TV, can he. It would be an embarrassment.

The Trump Network. ONA & Fox rejects. Trump making a guest appearance once in a while.

    Much merch.

  • He's going to do a tour of every right wing media station including the nutjob ones and just talk about how much he did and everyone said he did a great job and he recieved so many calls about what a great job it was he did and no one could believe how he did such a great job.

That and be insufferable on Twitter, which would be fine but our news outlets are going to report on every single post because journalists these days think Twitter is the equivalent of getting a hot scoop.

The only hope is that he's too greedy and wants too much money to appear on most shows and that he gets banned from Twitter.

  • That's a lot of deals to be made, even for a deal artist like him. It's not like there's one big case, lots of states are going after him for various things and then there's probably a lot of debt he'll be unable to repay.

  • Yeah. But he can't be on the Apprentice or stuff like that, surely?

  • As Biden is surely going to have a go at trying to bring the country together, pushing an anti trump agenda is just going to be more divisive and flair tensions. I think the Dems will not want to push those buttons too hard.

  • He runs again is my guess. Remember when he went up against Jeb, Rubio etc. wiped the floor with them without breaking sweat.

  • I also don't think he'll run in 2024

No, I don't either. Honestly, at almost 80 I'd have thought he'd be happier without this job. He can go back to an obscene lifestyle and riff on whatever he wants on TV to an adoring audience for the rest of his life without any accountablility or stress.

  • He'll be 78 by then. Somehow I doubt he'll be relevant then. It's his kids that worry me.

You just hope there's enough of a paper trail so they can bar them from public office for life and ideally sue them beyond bankruptcy.

  • He’ll be dead by 2024.

  • Their best hope is to just ignore it all, don't get it oxygen and it'll slowly fade away. The Q people will one by one stop caring or engaging

  • A failed re-election campaign means you're a busted flush. Reps will throw him over the side.

  • Definitely would be the sensible option. But I can imagine as soon as he realises he'll go down in history as a loser 1-termer he might not be able to deal with it and have to run again.

  • Lance has that gig now but as a guest? Sure, this is America.
