I'm after a very dim bulb that allows you to see, but not wake people, or babies, up.
I thought a 380lm 1800k bulb would work, but it's too bright.
Would this 170lm version be suitable?
Cheers.

I use a B22d to Gu10 adapter, there's more choice of low output lamps in the Gu10 fitting

It's going to depend on the lightshade and whether the bulb is frosted or similar but I'd say you want way lower than that, something like 20 lumens. (I'm assuming that by to see you mean not bump into furniture and things rather than read a book).
Search for "nightlight bulb" on Amazon or whatever and you'll get plenty of hits.
Or you can get stuff like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Company-Grolight-Night-Light-Fitting/dp/B00V50LY3Q

Is there anyone in London who can rebuild Hope hydro brakes?
I've got a set of Mono Mini 2004's that need new seals & hoses; the obvious thing to do would be to send them to Hope but I'd rather pay someone local and not have to post.

• #105339
I don't think hope are doing in house repairs at the moment, maybe not at all, as we were going to send some off the other day but they said "do it yourself you lazy bastards".
-
• #105340
They didn't actually say that, but they're not doing rebuilds and stuff, the kits are only about a tenner a brake though, just the time that can be pricey at shop rates.

during lockdown, where in London could I drop in and buy (or click and collect) a DisplayPort to DVI cable?
-
• #105342
Currys/PC World are still doing click and collect.
-
• #105343
I learned that this morning on R4, what I didnt know the group is still called Dixons/Carphone

• #105344
Ah, good to know, thanks.
Where would be the best place to buy the rebuild kits?

-
• #105347

are there any other pc shops that do lots of cables?
-
• #105348
Ah yes, sod's law that you can't click and collect any of those.

cant seem to find any straight sided wire baskets to organise in a chest freezer. any suggestions, or alternative ideas
ive seen people divide up the space with plywood for example, but that seems a sub optimal solution

This any good? https://www.hamsterbaskets.co.uk/products/freezer-baskets/
The unit behind these oven buttons moves when they are pressed and so they then don't work.
If I hold the unit in place then all good.
What non flammable, heat resistant, non conductive material/glue can I use to fix it in place?
