That timber is still ageing and will eventually be a wonderfully natural grey?

Painted timber cladding is awful... natural, stain, or burnt are the only choices!

In the countryside yes but in cities it tends to pick up air pollution and doesn’t acquire the silvery finish (which I agree can be quite attractive).
