11-32 cassettes are plenty enough, 11-36 maximum for steep stuff

Is it? I've gotten up (miserably) a 25% incline on 42-32 and only spun out approaching 50kmh on 42-11. On the road this is like. People on here always moan about their equipment when a few years ago they'd have been told to HTFU :)
Anyone who claims "gear ratio x" is enough for everyone is wrong. I can climb Everest with both arms behind my back on a 62x11 fixed gear. Big deal. That doesn't work for my Nan, does it?
