1x seemed like a neat idea when I decided to switch my road setup to more of a road plus / gravel but now after looking at it I’m happy with sticking to 2x for the mo...

As far as the di2 charging box goes not sure what you mean? You’ve charged your battery while riding? How big are your rides?
“ A modern Di2 battery is said to last between 2000 and 5000 kilometers per charge. This depends a bit on how often you shift and also your shifting style. The front derailleur has to work harder than the rear derailleur and thus also consumes more energy”There’s nowhere better to hide the box on a ti frame when the bar end solution exists but I will buy new bars (zipp xltc SL) for the di2 routing instead of drilling my current zipp bars
The frame has internal routing for the gears and hydraulics so make sense to go full neatness 🤷♂️

I’m happy with sticking to 2x
This is also what I am doing. I see no reason to reduce range, add cross chaining, shelve perfectly functional parts, etc.

What for? Just run normal Compact crankset. If you need a new chainring on a budget, hot tip, don't buy Wolftooth.

That seems expensive. Where are you shopping?
Also, why the fuss over 1x? Depending on your RD you can probably already run 36 to 42T cassette and even if you wanted lower gears, a Wolftooth and 46T MTB cassette is way cheaper than the prices you're talking. I decide against those bar end junction boxes too because they'd make charging Di2 while riding a pain in the arse. If you're worried about neatness there's cheaper ways of hiding cables.
