Something deore or below, they don't use banjo fittings like everything above so you won't need new hoses.

Cheers! M6100?

Ive had them. They are lovely with Jagwire Pro cables. I am on Ultegra Hydro now. I'd say hydro is a bit more responsive, but I don't feel like there is more braking power.

Yeah, probably the best bet.

Thanks, I'm very tempted given they'll end up being a fair chunk cheaper than hydro and are in the bling anodised purple finish.

Do it.
I'll buy the calipers off you if you don't like them

Haha they've already been dibsed by a friend should I not like them but good to know...

Any useful tips for preventing dot fluid from pissing out into my frame as I thread it through the internal routing? I'm thinking of putting a dot of blu tak over the end as I thread it through (before I cut it to length). Will it catch fire?

I want to use a flat mount to post mount adapter on a flat mount frame. The adapter came with super long bolts, do I just swap them for shorter ones?

BR-R785 would be fine.

I have just received my Equilibrium 931 Disc, I see that the previous owner has used it with 160 mm rotor in the back, while by default it has been 140 (in original spec). Should I switch back to 140 for the peace of mind or can 160 be used just as well?
-
• #6814
160 can be used fine, you'll just need an adaptor to step up the caliper so it can take the 160mm rotor.

The proper adapter is already in place. I also just got a reply from Genesis that 160 is officially approved by them.
Now one more question - is there any noticeable difference between RT64 and RT70 IceTech rotors?
I have spare RT64s from previous bike, here I have one RT70, I could get the second one too, if there is any significant improvement. On the other hand, I heard a lot about IceTech rotors being more susceptible to warping, what is your experience? -

My ultegra disc callipers are leaking fluid from the nipple. Anyone had this before? Is it a new seal needed? New calliper? It’s done up tight but the lbs mechanic was crack handed with it before so not sure if he was able to mess something up.
-
• #6817
I'd say just use what you have. The main difference is look and weight. The iceTech rotors are a bit better at heat dissipation in theory.

Noticeable, no

from the bleed nipple (or fitting) ?
Shimano bleed nipples work by the bottom being jammed against a narrowing in the calliper fluid tunnel. The rubber seal is only for when it is open. So before anything else, try to tighten the nipple a bit more...

Bleed nipple I think given the rest of the calliper is dry... it's not pissing out or anything but between 9am this morning and 5pm there was a noticeable dab on a piece of paper. I'd only noticed it when I left it for a week after bleeding the brakes and saw fluid on the garage floor next to the bike that definitely wasn't there before. I'll tighten it a bit more in a bit, clean it up again and see.

It might have been me then. Given the reservoir caps are made of not particularly strong cheese, I've been nervous about overtightening.

You want to have at least 5-6mm thread engagement.

Is this for a new bike or for a hose replacement? The compression fittings are different style and lengths. Could be a bother at the shifter end. Otherwise all the other bits are the same.
I've got the chance to pick up some flat mount Paul Klampers and Ultegra levers for about half the price of a set of GRX levers and brakes. Anyone used Klampers? How do they compare to hydro? @Hulsroy has used some I think?
