Based on my CAD-experiments you should be able to make that work without a yoke. Using the Zona 29er triple bend chainstays it would just clear without dimpling, some tube squashing should give you enough clearance, or at least that's what I hope.
This is at 428mm chainstay length, with a 30t chainring and what should closely resemble 2.35 Magic Mary's on a 30mm internal rim. Not that I'm against yokes per se, just curious why you'd get into it if seems to be (theoretically) possible to go without.

With 440mm chainstays it'd be a tad roomier.

whilst you are designing may I suggest:
clearance for 29x2.6 front and rear, especially if using rigid fork
dropping ST extension above cluster as low as possible so you can use a nice long dropperthe 100mm forks now / 120mm forks later maybe plan sounds absolutely fine

Where are you going to put your welds? Going that close to the edge of the BB shell is a bad idea I reckon.
-
• #4056
Yeah as I said earlier that ST extension is getting chopped.
I was just sketching out a braced solution and didn't bother getting rid of the extra before doing the screen grabs.I will not be using a rigid fork as I have my current mtb for that.
I want this to run SS in the winter and 1x in the summer. For smashing around.
I'll use the old one for bikepacking.Any suggestions for droppers 200m that will take 110kgs?

Ah that's a fair point, good thing I didn't go for the same thing on my other frame. So I guess I might as well double down on this sketchy solution?

With brazing you are less likely to damage the thread or distort the shell. But I am going to TIG my MTB. Hoping to buy a pedal for my welder soon.
That looks sweet btw

Sick. Cheers, not my work though. I've somehow managed to find two people willing to be build me a frame.

Hoping to buy a pedal for my welder soon.
Pedal is a gamechanger, that and a nice torch were the biggest purchase driven improvements for me
-

I have the torch. But the pedal is £350. A bit steep for me right now. I had a pedal for our Miller at my previous work when I was in London. Total bliss

Where is the wheel update I was promised on monday!
-
• #4071
I tell you what. I had a really exciting Monday planned. I was gonna go straight to the workshop after work and setup the wheels tubeless. Then come back down after dinner and do the rest of the build. I have everything I need and was really enjoying the idea of posting it for Single Speed Day.
BUT my cunt wife and her dumbass workplace decided to work late and reaching their deadline tomorrow. Their incompetence is to blame Jack. I'll get you photos Thursday latest # spejderære -

I think cleaning your screen is probably a good idea

Mmm I haven't completed decided yet. I just had a ceeway order arrive and forgot to buy a ID31.6 seat tube for the dropper.
I have a lot of Zona stuff in my tube bin and I am considering using some 44.5mm tandem chromoly. It's plain guage 0.9mm so probably overkill but I am a big lad and it will look cool.
