  • Does anyone have any recommendations for maximally cushioned/supportive running shoes? I try to run 3-4 times a week for general fitness, mostly 30 mins intervals on a treadmill with one longer run outside. Due to various accumulated injuries and half-arsed rehab - (ACL reconstruction, ruptured hamstring etc) I tend to get really bad niggles and pains when I try to move to a higher proportion of road running. Clearly lockdown is not good for my access to treadmills. I looked at hiring them but my flatmate was not so keen on it dominating the lounge. I've currently got some new-ish mid-range asics, but I'd love not to lose all my fitness over this lockdown so any suggestions for the bounciest of running shoes would be much appreciated!

ps - I do know that I should probably try and deal with my repeat niggling injuries through seeing a proper physio, analysing my gait etc and getting custom insoles etc but I don't have time, for my health - and mental health - I just want to get out and run 4 times next week without falling to bits.

  • I swear by hoka one one, I usually buy their clifton model for road running and absolutely love them.
