Oddly, it is down to media outlets to declare states as settled or not.
The main discrepancy is that Fox has called Arizona for Biden and CNN and AP have not.

They're both using data from the AP who haven't called AZ

They're not all counted yet and some agencies call it based on the tallied results thus far. That's really all there is to it.

I feel I probably know this but wondering if it's for a more substantive reason - why do different sources cite different current counts?
Gruaniad and Fox something like 238-214 last I checked, bbc 224-213, nyt 227-213 - is it simply down to projections? In which case why do Gruan and Fox align? (Apart from the recent pretence of a shift away from Trump by Fox so that when they said 'well it turns out he won after all' trumpo can say 'see, even the fake news fox thinks i won').
