lockdown 2: electric boogaloo
Seconded

I interpreted the title as preparing in lots of different ways (working from home set up, indoor exercise equipment, mentally preparing etc) but agree that 'prepping' is a loaded term nowadays.
Thankfully there's been zero panic buying here in NL, and we're already in the second lockdown. It broke my heart hearing the nurse (?) tearing up in her car after going to the supermarket and finding empty shelves (I think this was back in April). Herd mentality will be the death of us.

I can understand people feeling panicked the first time going into the unknown but surely there is no reason for it now.

I think T.B.’s point about prepping being a loaded term (edit: for some) is spot on. The thread isn’t intended to encourage panic buying, but reasonable household preparedness is helpful.
Name changed to only suggestion...

I panicked and bought 48 beers and 12 bottles of wine yesterday.
Pretty glad I did.
We also have 21 of a 24 pack of toilet rolls left.
Bit short on fresh food though. Still, at least the kids get a packed lunch at school every day

As in those guys with hawaiian shirts and guns that turn up at protests?

Booze, bikes and board games. Looks like you’re all set.

‘Boogaloo’? Really?
Also, to paraphrase a text I got, hope you panic hoarders are stocking up on condoms so you don’t breed any more idiots.

Really can’t win with a title for this thread.

Meh. Buying that amount of of booze is hardly hoarding. Also, panic buying was explicitly advised against more than once here... Why is it so hard for some people to grasp the difference between being reasonably prepared (to avoid imminent inconveniences) and buying out a store’s supply of X?

Why is the title of this thread not "We're gonna Lockdown 2 Electric Avenue"?

A whole new meaning to ‘shock troops’.
I need to return some video tapes.
