A lot of rescues specify teenage kids
My old staffy was 6 when my first was born, and the other two came in quick succession - he was brilliant with all of them, but rehoming can be stressful for a dog and might not be good to mix that with very young children.

Youngest kid has only just started walking so we are thinking to wait a bit longer as we ideally would like to go with adoption.
Have it adopted now so its new parents can get used to it and you can concentrate on the dog.

Have wanted a dog for the longest time, conversation came up in our house the other day and my eldest kid is smitten with every dog we see. Youngest kid has only just started walking so we are thinking to wait a bit longer as we ideally would like to go with adoption. Understand we could be waiting a few years, anybody adopted a dog and have kids? At what age where they?
