I'm tempted to organise a Farsports group by rather than Lightbicycle... Farsports get a good rep on weightweenies these days and their group discounts are better. I've attached the OEM Catalogue to this post.

Attached is the OEM price list and a tech document. Best way forward on this is for anyone who is interested to find the rims they want and then drop me a message. I'll collate until we've got at least 10 rims and then get a quote from them.

@platypus @onyerbike @Engineering101 if you're interested can you let me know rim specs from LB and FS so I can get it all together. As an FYI I've often found that complete wheel builds work out cheaper than rims so if that's a route you're interested in let me know hubs, spokes, nipple choices.

I'm planning on a HC wheel build - have got some DCR hubs (the pair are circa 260g!) so after lightest rims I can get and then lightest spokes that don't cost the earth. 20/24 drilling I think.

Make sure you include shipping in your comparison, I ended up buying my last wheels from Farsports despite the actual wheels being cheaper at LB, the shipping was way better with FS.

Yeah it'll be total landed cost that'll I'll compare things on.

The Syntace P6 is like this as well if you want something fancier. It comes in both aluminium and carbon.

That seems common on Chinese sites. farsports.com was looking dodgy earlier, but wheelsfar.com and farsports.cn looked OK. I suspect that infrastructure which has been designed by the government to be easily compromised for party political purposes is rather weakly protected against common criminals, of which China has more than its fair share.

I'm pretty interested in some of the disc brake rims, I'll recheck the price sheet but I don't think i saw the classics on there? I think if I budget say £200 per rim I should be in the ball park though. When are you thinking of potential order placement date?

So the last group order I did took about 2-3 weeks to organise (get people confirmed, confirm pricing, sort payment, place order). If you can have a look on the LB website and send me which rims you're after and also the FS equivalent I'll add them to the quote I'm getting. £200 per rim including delivery fees should be plenty as a ball park.

Brilliant, I did a bulk but with one of the Andy's on there last time and I think it was about that which is why I thought that would be good. Cool let me take a look over the weekend at the latest and work out what I want. Thanks!
