I'd agree with what @Constable_Savage says about Beagles, they can be feisty. My step-daughter has a Jack-cross and he's never shown an ounce of aggression or nippiness. Obviously I'd recommend a rescue like this. Mine is on the large size, 21kg and 18" at the shoulder, but most are smaller. Either way, really good in flats and want to be everyone's best friend.
