I one pretended to know someone, who didn't know me.
In a pub/club place, my GF pointed out someone she went to school with, so I trotted over and greeted him like an old school friend, using his name.
He looked confused so I introduced myself "It's DethBeard! we went to Billericay School together, 92-97, pretty sure we had the same maths class for like 2 years"
He then "remembered" me and we had a good old catch up.
