I had a particularly bad one last year. I ended up going to Prague twice last summer, once on tour with my band and once on holiday with my girlfriend. The first time I got to chatting to some Czech guy that came to the gig because I noticed he was reading a book I really liked. A couple of months later I was in a cafe having brunch and was absolutely convinced the same guy was sat on the table next to us so I said "oh hey, we met a couple of months ago, we talked about Bohumil Hrabal at Café Na Pul Cesty" which he strongly denied in an American accent. Pretty awkward rest of the meal.
