    Actually that's the most tricky of the various methods, but lots of people have de-clattered their Campag and SRAM orphan brake levers without resorting to binning the blade, which is good because the blade forms a useful part of the grip security in some positions.

  • Is there a handy how-to guide on the biro spring method anywhere? Don’t want to tape and retake the bars if I get it wrong.

    Had thought about getting a j-tek double to single cable pull thingy but seems like an expensive faff when there’s no real reason to be able to brake from either lever

    I think there is much more specific guidance on how to avoid the faff of biro springs, revolving around variations on a theme of rubber band. I don't have Campag levers, so I'm not sure which variant would work best. My 464 is wired for but not with a JTek, but in spite of Ed's reasoning I haven't felt compelled to fill in the blank yet.
